The Lake Travis Independent School District Board of Trustees adopted an order canvassing and certifying the May 20, 2025, general election results for trustee places 3, 4 and 5 at a brief meeting, using vote totals submitted by the Travis County Elections Office.
The certification formalizes precinct-by-precinct and overall vote totals necessary to declare the official results of the trustee races. Chad, a representative of the Travis County Elections Office, presented the totals and recommended that the board verify and certify them through formal action: "I would recommend that you verify and certify these votes as official through your action on the proposed order before you today," Chad said.
The board packet included both precinct-by-precinct counts and overall totals. The Travis County Elections Office submitted these totals: for Place 3, Erin Archer 4,787 votes and Jessica Howard 2,831 votes; for Place 4, Jonathan Bove 4,328 votes and John Severance 4,056 votes; and for Place 5, Craig Kancian 4,050 votes and Chris Woodcock 4,347 votes. The board then moved to adopt the canvassing order.
Lauren, a trustee, moved to adopt the order canvassing returns and declaring the results; Rob, a trustee, seconded the motion. President Archer called for the vote and, after the voice vote, said, "All right. Motion carries. Results certified." The transcript does not record individual roll-call tallies.
There were no public comments recorded on the agenda. The meeting lasted only a few minutes and the board took no other action before adjourning.
