Kevin Coughlin, a FRENSHIP ISD staff member, gave the board a detailed construction update, saying the Memorial High School roof is "approximately 95% complete" and that HVAC units, exterior windows and a canopy connecting the fine‑arts wing to the athletic center are installed or in place.
The update outlined work across several sites. At Memorial High School, Coughlin showed progress photos of the auditorium — including installed elevator equipment, painted upper walls and staining underway where seating mounts will be installed — and described finished ceilings, installed lighting and stained cabinets in administrative corridors. He said kitchen equipment had been delivered and was being installed.
Coughlin described site work at the athletic complex: multiple turf areas had been laid and were being finished, the indoor turf room was down and exhibitors were staining concrete and preparing maple flooring for installation. He said about 20 pallets of maple flooring were on site and must climatize for 14 days before installation. The update also showed new bleachers with ADA ramps and a press box added to existing stands.
The board saw interior progress in the ninth‑grade center and fine‑arts addition: corridor finishes and acoustic diffusers were installed, wall protections and flooring were in place, and concession and locker‑room blocks had been set. Coughlin displayed work at the baseball and softball complexes, including turf in bullpens and reinforcement for home plates.
Board members thanked Coughlin and his team for the pace of work and asked no substantive follow‑up questions during the presentation. Coughlin closed by asking whether the board had questions; none were raised beyond expressions of appreciation.
The update did not include new schedule dates or additional funding requests; Coughlin limited his remarks to progress, planned near‑term installations and finishing work.
FRENSHIP ISD staff said photographers and additional site photos would be available for board members and the public as work continues.
