Kent County PAB members offered free computer training via county library

Board members were offered free computer training through Kent County’s public library system during the Feb. 5 Police Accountability Board meeting. Library staff member Natalie was singled out by members for leading patient, tailored sessions.
Members said the program includes Monday drop‑in sessions from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Wednesday appointments (11 a.m. to 1 p.m.) that can be reserved so the session is limited to board members. The library will provide up to two‑hour sessions tailored to needs such as Outlook, Word, Teams or a general Microsoft 365 overview. One member said a session on Dec. 13 had been nearly two hours and was “very useful.”
Board members noted that library training is funded through the library (tax‑supported) and is open to the public; however, the library can reserve a room for PAB members for focused instruction. Members said they plan additional sessions in February and April and that members who need help with phones or other personal devices can receive assistance.
