Wilson County Commissioners Court approved a request from the county extension office to display a 4-H banner on the courthouse courtyard from May 5 through May 19.
Miss Allison of the county extension office said the banner is displayed annually to coincide with the senior parade and 4-H graduation; she told the court there are 28 4-H mentors graduating this year. A court member moved for approval and a second was recorded.
A commissioner reminded staff to take care in how the banner is displayed. The motion received a second on the record; the transcript does not include a roll-call vote or tally.
The authorization covers the specified dates; extension staff will coordinate placement and timing with county officials.
