The Greater Egg Harbor Regional High School District Board of Education approved reorganization items, minutes and grouped consent agendas covering business, transportation, education and personnel matters during its regular meeting.
The board moved and approved the reorganization agenda items and accepted a motion approving minutes from the April 14 meeting. A motion covering business agenda items B‑1 through B‑7 was moved and seconded and approved; the board then approved transportation items T‑1 through T‑39 and education items E‑1 through E‑13 after motion and second. The board approved personnel items P‑1 through P‑13 by roll call; the personnel vote included an abstention on "P 6 Number 3" as recorded in the roll call. The reorganization vote record noted an "abstain on d" for that grouped motion.
In committee reports, Personnel Committee chair Hartman reported the committee met on April 28, reviewed Mr. Grassi's annual contract and approved it in committee. The chair also reported committee agreement on a set of nonrenewals and said the district is actively searching for a transportation supervisor. Hartman said the district plans to share an interpreter with Galloway Township under a flexible agreement for the coming year and is interviewing to fill retirements.
Board members asked routine questions and the motions passed by voice and roll call as recorded; specific individual roll-call votes were read aloud for several motions. The meeting contained no executive-session resolution and no formal policy or budget change was adopted outside the consent motions reported.
Notes recorded in the meeting minutes included abstentions where shown: an abstention recorded on reorganization item "d" and an abstention recorded on personnel item "P 6 Number 3." The motions that were moved and seconded were approved as reflected in the board’s recorded roll calls.
