The superintendent also said publicly: "Taxes will not be going up," when discussing the bond at the meeting. Board members later asked that administration and the bond committee prepare clear, technical explanations to address community questions raised in recent public forums.
Edmondson characterized the outreach as part of a transparency effort and said the administration will bring financial experts to public meetings to answer technical questions about funding and tax impact. He encouraged trustees to join community briefings and said the administration would respond to social‑media criticism with factual information.
There was no board vote on the bond at the May 13 meeting; Edmondson said the district will continue public outreach ahead of the August special election.
