Dr. Bogan said the most substantive clarifications were editorial or illustrative: updated dates on cover pages; a clarification for staff who work in multiple positions (bus drivers and other staff) about calling off from a position while holding another; a clarified food‑service example for first‑in/first‑out dating; and an educational‑support staffing example updated from a 9‑month to a 10‑month calculation to match district practice.
On PRESS policies, the board approved the PRESS Issue 118 policy updates on first reading by a 6–0 vote. Superintendent Dr. Brian Rolling said the district uses PRESS (the IASB service) to keep local policies aligned with current law and court decisions; this edition contains largely wording updates and legal references rather than substantive policy changes.
Both items were approved on first reading and will return for final approval at a future meeting unless further clarifications are requested.
