City Council approves consent calendar including ordinance 6602; resort district funds tree maintenance

Councilmember Kurtz pulled item 9 for brief discussion. He asked whether the more-than-$1.5 million tree-maintenance contract would be paid from the general fund. City staff responded that funding for the tree maintenance is not from the general fund but from the Anaheim Resort Maintenance District, an assessment on property owners in the resort area. Kurtz moved item 9 and Councilmember Bayless seconded; the motion passed by a recorded vote of seven ayes.
The clerk then read the full text of agenda item 21, reflected in the record as Ordinance No. 6,602, described in the clerk’s language as: "an adoption of an ordinance to the City of Anaheim amending chapters 18.04, 18.08, 18.14, 18.36, 18.38, 18.92, 18.122, and adjustment number 10 to the Beach Boulevard specific plan number 2017-1 zoning and development standards" and noting the clerk’s statement on CEQA.
