Huntington Beach releases infrastructure report card; several asset classes score D or C

City staff presented an Infrastructure Report Card that evaluated 11 categories of city assets and recommended ways to prioritize capital improvements.
The report, presented by staff member Chao Vu, used the American Society of Civil Engineers methodology and included input from a technical committee of engineers, a 100‑person citizens outreach group and more than 1,300 survey respondents. "This report card is an evaluation of the city's infrastructure to identify both current conditions and also prioritize improvements," Chao Vu said.
