St. Louis County recognized graduates of Class 24 of its Public Safety Dispatcher Academy during the April 29 council meeting.
Veronica Claiborne, newly appointed director of the Bureau of Communications, introduced Jason Mazur, the training coordinator, who said the class began March 10 and graduated Friday, April 24. Mazur described a seven‑week classroom training period and noted graduates would spend another 12 weeks working with a trainer while answering phones and dispatching responders.
Mazur introduced the graduates by name: Erin Johnson, Kristen Pruiser, Nadia Felder, Dominique Birch, Catherine Spinks, Haley Rogers and Logan Boughton. He said Catherine Spinks scored more than 94% on the final assessment and was the top scorer in the class. The council recognized the graduates in a ceremonial presentation.
The presentation emphasized continued on‑the‑job training and the role of dispatchers in public safety; no formal council vote or funding change was recorded in connection with the recognition.
