Council honors North County storm cleanup volunteers and partner agencies

The St. Louis County Council on April 29 adopted a resolution honoring volunteers, county staff and partner agencies that helped clear storm debris in District 4 after the March 14 tornadoes.
Councilwoman Webb introduced and moved the measure, which recognizes the Missouri Department of Transportation, the St. Louis County Department of Transportation and Public Works, OpenSpaceSTL and several named site leaders and volunteers. The resolution cites named individuals and groups, including Tabitha Locke, Stanley Andrews, Amir Gady, David Scales, Ralph Walker, Joshua Cox, Jamie Grimes Tiff, David Newcomb, Katie Frank (OpenSpaceSTL), Larry Conant, Steve Silver, Roy Moyer, Kate Moore Freeman and Matthew Walker. The council approved the resolution by roll call, 7-0.
Webb used the presentation to thank volunteers and to single out county staff who provided equipment and logistical support. After the vote, the council invited volunteers and representatives forward to receive framed copies and group photographs.
