Gloversville teachers organize clothing and book giveaway for community

Margie Fagle, president of the Gloversville Teachers Association, used the public-comment period to invite the community to a teacher-led clothing and book giveaway scheduled for Saturday morning at the Boulevard large gym.
Fagle said volunteers — including teachers, staff and students — will set up Friday night and open doors at 9 a.m. Saturday. She described donations of clothing, shoes, backpacks and books from staff and community donors and encouraged community members to attend.
"Starting Friday night, many teachers, staff members, student volunteers will be setting up for the event, laying everything out. And then Saturday morning, starting at 9AM at Boulevard at the large gym, we open the doors to the community to come in and, look through the donations of clothing and books," Fagle said.
