The contract is funded from the board's budget and is budgeted at $4,800, covering work in February, March, April and May. The proposal presented to the board calls for PJL to collect board priorities, design a process and timeline, present a draft in March or April, return a final proposal in May and provide facilitated training sessions. The goal is to have the evaluation tool "go live" in June so administrators can use it as they plan for the next school year.
Board members said the current engagement is a scaled-back version of an earlier, larger proposal. Christopher PQ, noted in meeting remarks as the board's leader who participated virtually, reviewed the proposal and indicated comfort with the reduced scope.
Doctor Dorsey moved the contract; Mister Crossen seconded. The board approved the contract and asked staff to proceed with the timeline as presented.
