Maciejewski also urged the board to reconsider continuing the Depew matchup, describing the games as frequently one-sided and arguing the continuation sends the wrong message to students. “Our children are watching,” she said. “Do we want them to see models of sportsmanship and character? Or that it is okay to stroke our own egos at the risk of our neighbors?”
