The Design Review Board deferred consideration of an appeal for 11449 Waterview Cluster on Jan. 21 after determining the current meeting did not include a sufficient number of members who had not previously served on the panel that reviewed the item.
Applicant Neil (who identified himself on the call) said he had waited months and was disappointed at the deferral. Board counsel and staff explained procedure: when panel members of the original review are present, they must recuse themselves from voting on the appeal; because of attendance the board could not reach a majority of eligible voters at the meeting, the DRB deferred the appeal to the next meeting and staff agreed to place the item high on the agenda so the applicant would not wait another long interval.
Staff told the applicant the matter would be rescheduled for the February meeting and staff would contact the homeowner with process details.
