Scott County updates career and technical education programs and funding uses

John Knowles, CTE coordinator for Scott County Schools and principal of Elkhorn Crossing School, reported that the district is expanding career and technical education (CTE) offerings and leveraging state supplemental funds to buy equipment, pay for travel and support student industry credentials.
“Currently, we have 21 CT programs with 37 different pathways,” Knowles said, and he provided district-level outcomes: last year 447 students earned an industry certification and 239 students passed an end-of-program assessment.…
