Brentwood board approves 2025–26 budget, numerous personnel and contract items

The Brentwood Union Free School District Board of Education voted April 23 to adopt a proposed 2025''26 budget and to approve multiple consent and personnel items bundled on the agenda.

Board members approved the budget item read into the record as a proposed 2025''26 budget in the amount stated at the meeting as $688,000,525,221 with a tax levy of $115,501,607; board members said the levy did not exceed the statutory tax levy cap. The board directed the district clerk to include the adopted budget amount and the legal notice in the public notice for the budget vote to be held Tuesday, May 20, 2025.

Separately, the board approved a set of consent packages and routine items by voice vote: B1 a through B1 m (consent items), B2 a through B2 u (administrative and business items), and C1 a and C1 b (other board actions). The board also approved certificated and noncertificated personnel action reports contained in the board packet for the April 23 meeting (D1 a and D1 b).
