Facilities report: several projects complete or underway; roofing and gates remain in progress

Facilities presenter Mister Murphy gave the board a status report on multiple capital and repair projects across the district, saying several items were complete and others are at various stages of work.

“Central Elementary, Wellness completed. Stewart Elementary Wellness completed. Bathrooms at Stewart and Central completed,” Murphy told the board, and he reported the stadium ticket booth was completed. He said work on the high‑school and arena roof and a Lincoln ABC roofing project was in progress and materials were being ordered. Murphy said the junior‑high wellness center was “90% complete.”

Board members asked about contractors and payments. Murphy told the board the figures they were seeing in the monthly payments were progress payments rather than final contract totals; he said final payments for Banks Construction included a ticket booth and football bathroom items. He explained parts delays were behind an arena gate not yet closing and that the district was “waiting on parts.”

Board members asked whether the district would keep working with particular architects and contractors; Murphy said the district had used different contractors for different projects and that some vendors (e.g., roofing firms) had been engaged as project needs required. He noted material supply delays had extended some schedules statewide and that extensions had been requested where appropriate.

The presentation included project cost references and progress updates; the board did not take a formal vote on capital projects during the report.
