Catalina Foothills board unanimously elects Amy Krause president, Eileen Jackson vice president

The Catalina Foothills Unified School District Governing Board elected Amy Krause as board president and Eileen Jackson as vice president at its first meeting of 2025.

The nominations and elections took place during the organization portion of the meeting, when the board opened nominations for president and, after a single nomination, closed nominations by motion. A nomination read into the record stated, “I would like to nominate Amy Krause for the office of president of Catalina Foothills governing board for calendar year 2025.” The motion to elect Krause passed by a 5-0 voice vote. The board then opened nominations for vice president, nominated Eileen Jackson and voted 5-0 to approve her election.

Board members noted Krause’s long service on the board (speakers referenced “10 years” of service during the discussion) and thanked Jackson for serving as president for the previous two years. The board conducted the votes by voice and recorded the outcomes as “Motion carries 5-0” for each election.
