District reports four campuses noncompliant on state intruder detection audit; training and fixes scheduled

Superintendent Kathy Rolo told trustees that Lubbock ISD has four campuses that did not meet all requirements during the state intruder detection audit and that the district is addressing the issues.
Rolo said the intruder detection audit is a governor‑mandated annual requirement. Audits are unannounced and every campus will be audited in time. For safety reasons she declined to identify the specific campuses in open session; she said those campuses were discussed in executive session.
The superintendent reported that training has either occurred or is scheduled for the campuses found not to be compliant, and that maintenance issues with doors have been corrected. No formal board action was required or taken on the item during the meeting; trustees were informed for public record as required by law.
District staff said they will continue to track compliance and follow up with any outstanding work to meet the state's intruder detection standards.
