Councilwoman Chrissy Hanneman moved the resolution and Councilwoman Jessica Smuin seconded. After brief remarks about the committee’s value and recent activities — including a recognition that committee members provide community connection work and support for events — the council proceeded to a roll call vote. The resolution passed on a unanimous vote.
City staff said Wendy Call’s appointment would make the Primetime committee whole (the body has five seats and has been operating short of its full membership). Staff will record the appointment and update the committee roster and bring any reappointment back to council at the end of the year if the mayor so requests.
