Board approves CV 2030 scorecard, directs staff to set baselines and meeting calendar

The Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD Board of Trustees unanimously approved a revised CV 2030 scorecard and directed further administrative steps during the May 1 meeting.
Governance Subcommittee chair Cassandra Hatfield briefed trustees on survey feedback from the District Improvement Committee and the original CV 2030 development group. She said the subcommittee’s redlined revisions and shaded recommendations were shared with administrators and the community for further action planning.
Trustee Marjorie Barnes moved to approve the scorecard’s objectives, indicators and measures. The motion passed unanimously with a second from Trustee Kim Brady. Barnes then moved — and the board approved unanimously — a direction for the superintendent to work with administration and the governance subcommittee to finalize baseline metrics and goals by Sept. 4, 2025 (motion seconded by Trustee Eliana Garza Rojas). A third unanimous motion directed the governance subcommittee to work with the superintendent and administration to develop a board meeting discussion calendar tied to the scorecard for the 2025–26 school year (seconded by Trustee Brady).
Hatfield said the district will share survey comments with administrators so they can incorporate community input into action plans and will notify the CV 2030 and DIC committees of next steps. The board’s votes were recorded as unanimous; the motion language and timelines are on the record.
