Yonkers City Council backs state bills on utility rates unanimously

The Yonkers City Council on Tuesday unanimously adopted a resolution supporting multiple New York State legislative measures aimed at addressing high energy utility rates and provider compliance, stating the measures would help Yonkers residents, business owners and other energy consumers.

The resolution, introduced by the council and discussed at the prior week's rules meeting, listed several state bill identifiers during presentation and sought relief for Yonkers residents from what the text described as excessive utility costs.
