Applicant Shane Bartholomew and representatives (including John Sullivan) told the board the site meets all other requirements for a four‑family except driveway width because an existing streetlamp and narrow access constrain a 15‑foot driveway. The proposal reconstructs a dilapidated rear garage, provides five parking spaces (two inside the rebuilt garage), and creates a turnaround area to facilitate safe maneuvering.
The board confirmed the public hearing was advertised, heard no public speakers at the May 13 session and reviewed a posted draft resolution. One board member recommended moving the five‑factor findings under the now‑therefore clause of the resolution; the motion to approve the resolution as amended was adopted by voice vote with no oppositions recorded. Tom Klug recused himself from the matter and the board noted the recusal on the record.
Staff will finalize and post the signed resolution and coordinate next steps for site plan review with Planning staff.
