At its March meeting the Poughkeepsie Zoning Board of Appeals took several procedural votes and one final action:
- The board voted to continue the public hearings and applications for 654 Main Street, 178 Mill Street and 121 Parker Avenue to the April 8 meeting (motions carried unanimously by voice).
- The board granted a variance allowing a six‑story building at 306 and 316 Main Street where five stories are otherwise permitted, conditioned on offering 12 affordable units (six at 60–80% of Dutchess County AMI and six at 80–100% of Dutchess County AMI). The motion carried on a roll call with a majority in favor and one recorded dissent.
Board members read a draft resolution for the 306–316 Main Street variance into the record and asked staff to correct plan dates and finalize the written findings. The other continued items were adjourned with no substantive discussion recorded at the meeting.
