Council grants utility easements and defers liquor-license notice for JD's Pub & Brew

During the consent portion of the meeting the Common Council approved two resolutions: R-25-18 granting an easement to Central Hudson along the easterly side of Wilbur Boulevard, and R-25-19 granting Verizon an easement to relocate existing cables off properties at 306 through 316 Main Street. Both consent items were moved, seconded and approved by voice vote.
Separately, the council moved to refer a notification related to JD's Pub & Brew Incorporated's New York State liquor-license application to corporation counsel for a 30-day advance-notice review; that referral was moved, seconded and approved by voice vote.
Council discussion during the meeting clarified that the Wilbur Boulevard work replaces existing poles and should reduce pole rental costs; Councilmember McClinton noted the replacement should help reduce weather-related outages in that area.
