Council passes landmark nominations, BID proposal and zoning and administrative changes; settlement approved

The Poughkeepsie Common Council took votes Jan. 21 on a package of consent-agenda items ranging from historic-landmark nominations to code and zoning changes.

Key outcomes announced by roll call included: setting a public hearing for 10 South Clinton (R-25-11); setting a public hearing for 52 South Hamilton (the Vassar Warner Home) as a local historic landmark (R-25-12); introducing a local law to establish a Downtown Poughkeepsie Business Improvement District (R-25-13); introducing a local law to amend the city administrative code sections 15.02 and 15.03 on prior written notice of an alleged defect (R-25-14); and introducing a local law amending the zoning code to remove footnote 19-3.32C and correct definitions (R-25-15).
