High Falls Business Improvement District board reported fully filled and in compliance, council hears

The committee advanced introductory legislation related to the High Falls Business Improvement District after the administration reported that previously identified concerns have been addressed.
Commissioner Miller reported the BID board is now fully filled and includes business owners and property owners; the board consists of nine members and also includes two city-government representatives (the chief of staff and the municipal attorney) and an aide to Council member Monroe, Mitch Roe. Miller said the board has an updated website, appropriate meeting notice and has addressed spend-down concerns. Attachment D in the transmittal lists board members.
Council members asked whether business owners serve on the board; Miller confirmed the membership includes business owners and property owners. Council member Smith thanked the administration for resolving the items. The introductory motion passed in committee.
