Fayetteville equipment committee forwards major fleet purchases, stormwater division expansion to full council

Fayetteville City equipment committee Chairman Scott Brown said May 13 the committee will forward a slate of fleet purchases and a proposed expansion that would create a separate stormwater division to the full City Council for approval.

The package described by Ross Jackson, who oversees Fayetteville’s fleet department, includes both replacement vehicles and new units tied to the proposed stormwater division under a draft Resolution 93-25. Major items Jackson listed include a $110,550 Bobcat E60 excavator (replacement of Unit 6010), a $18,489 tandem-axle trailer to transport it, a $397,790 camera van for culvert and stormwater cleaning, an $227,360 International dump truck, Ford F-150 and F-550 utility vehicles, and multiple Bobcat and compact-tractor units. Jackson said many items for stormwater would be purchased from WT Equipment (Williams Tractor) and other local vendors.
