County begins parallel payroll testing as it implements Tyler HRIS; open enrollment target set for fall

The parallel test is expected to begin later this summer, with open enrollment for benefits targeted for late October to early November, and wider HRIS/payroll use planned afterward.
Staff noted the exercise requires mapping accounts, testing deductions and ensuring both systems’ totals align. The county aims to have the new system ready for benefits administration during open enrollment and to move payroll fully into Tyler following successful parallel runs.
