Board adopts 2025–30 district technology strategic plan emphasizing staffing, instruction and digital citizenship

The Dickinson Public Schools Board approved the districtwide Technology Strategic Plan for 2025–30, a multi-year roadmap the district said was overdue after the previous plan originated in 2017.
Board member Mister Wilkins moved to approve the 2025–30 strategic plan; the motion was seconded by Vice President Schwerth and adopted by voice vote. The plan sets three primary goals: staffing to support technology needs, instructional practices that integrate technology into learning, and digital citizenship training for students and staff.
Presenter (doctor Luthien) told the board the previous plan was due in 2023 and that district staff had worked on the new plan for several years. The board provided no further amendments during the meeting; the motion carried.
The district will implement the plan across buildings and report progress as part of routine board reporting.
