Fargo Board approves second guaranteed-maximum-price package for facility improvements

The board moved and seconded acceptance of memo 108, identified in the meeting as the GMP 2 package, and approved the motion by roll call. The motion passed unanimously, 8-0.
Bill, presenting the item, told board members the package "is aligned with our continuing long range facilities planning work" and that the district's director of facilities, James Hand, was available to answer questions. Board member Greg noted the package had been previewed to the planning committee and that members had reviewed the documents in advance. Allie moved approval; Greg seconded. Ann Marie conducted the roll call; Clark, Day, Jason Nelson, Kristen Nelson, Robin Nelson, Uhlenberger, Bergland and Kristen Seminier voted yes.
GMP 2 was presented as the next phase of facility improvements that follow an earlier package the board approved in February. The presenter said the work described in GMP 2 aligns with the district’s long-range facility plan and that projects in the package had been detailed for the board. Board members had the opportunity to ask questions and were told staff were available for follow-up.
No amendments or alternate motions were offered during the item, and the board did not request additional immediate action beyond approval. James Hand and other facilities staff were identified as available to provide further specifics on project scopes and schedules.
Board members and staff noted the item had been discussed in planning committee and that the district will continue to integrate GMP packages with the broader long-range facilities planning process.
