City manager outlines January outreach, Point-in-Time count and planning charrette dates

On the Point-in-Time count, the City Manager said the city will conduct the annual survey of individuals and families experiencing homelessness and referenced dates in January while coordinating schedules; during remarks he mentioned Jan. 22 and Jan. 31 in the same exchange. He said the council's planned work session that conflicted with the count would be moved, and that staff and council members were arranging transportation and participation.
The City Manager said Excelsior Springs will present at the ‘‘connecting entrepreneur communities’’ webinar on Feb. 7; presenters listed in the meeting packet include Lindsey Baxter, Melinda Mahaffey and Bridal Rice. He also announced stakeholder and technical-committee planning design charrettes on Feb. 18–19 as part of the city's comprehensive-plan process.
Council members and staff exchanged brief logistical comments about weather and transportation. No formal council action was taken; these were informational remarks and scheduling notices.
