Council awards $59,410 bid for Boundless Backyard parking lot; minutes, agenda approved and meeting moved to closed session

Parks and Recreation Director Nate Williams told the council the work would be done this spring and described the resolution as “the first step to being able to access the Boundless Backyard.” Williams said the Parks and Recreation Board had reviewed bids and “approved it” as “the lowest and best bid received.”
Council members made a motion, seconded, and the council approved the resolution by roll call. The roll calls recorded in the meeting transcript list Councilman McGovern, Councilman Saint John, Councilman Raney, Mayor Pro Tem Steven Speer and Mayor Spahn voting yes. The motion carried and Williams thanked the council.
Earlier in the meeting the council voted to approve the minutes of its Jan. 21, 2025 regular meeting and to approve the agenda as presented; both measures were approved by voice or roll call without recorded opposition. Later, Mayor Spahn moved to close the meeting “pursuant to section 610.021.1 and 610.021.12 RSMo.” The council approved that motion by roll call; the mayor announced the meeting was closed.
