The Mount Pleasant City Council voted unanimously to approve pay request number 6 for Wicker Construction Incorporated, covering work on the West Loop wastewater collection project.
Staff member Anthony Raiser presented the request and said pay request No. 6 totaled $410,942.52 and covered installation of roughly 7,270 feet of sewer main in sizes described as 6-, 8- and 18-inch pipe during the pay period. Raiser told council the original construction contract totaled $9,816,351.10 and that prior payments totaled $3,487,099.67. He reported the project was roughly 35% complete by time and about 24% complete by dollars, noting the difference was driven by materials on hand.
Raiser said the current pay request reflected installed pipe and trenching, not casing or other work. After Raiser’s presentation, Council member Hagerman moved to approve pay request number 6; Council member Recker seconded the motion. The secretary recorded the vote as unanimous.
The authorization will allow the contractor to be paid the invoiced amount; no additional contract change orders or amendments were presented during the meeting.
