The update came during the council’s added agenda item on the March 14 tornado. Chief of Police Masadi described the department’s response, the activation of mutual aid and a staged command in the government center lobby. "I'm happy to say that there was no injuries or no fatalities in this storm," Masadi said, adding that officers performed house-by-house checks in the hardest-hit area and established roadblocks to protect residents and first responders.
