City staff: no proposals received for Carrollton West airport parcel; meeting with airport directors planned

City staff reported to the Bridgeton City Council on April 1 that the airport authority received no proposals in response to its request for proposals for the Carrollton West property (formerly referenced as Carrollton West). The airport had extended its submission deadline from January to March but did not receive any submissions.
Assistant/City staff member Bookout said he has been in contact with the airport director and a deputy and that the mayor and he will meet with those airport officials in the coming weeks to discuss next steps for the property and options the airport might consider. Staff said additional information will be provided to the council in the coming months.
No proposals, bidder names, or alternative plans were recorded on the council floor during the report. The clerk and mayor confirmed staff would notify council members of updates after the meeting.
Separately, Bookout also noted outreach from Pattonville School District about scheduling a fall dinner and provided three proposed dates; staff identified September 30 as the only date without conflicts on the city calendar and asked council members to advise if they could attend.
