The Board of Aldermen opened a public hearing on a conditional-use permit application for an accessory pavilion at 12001 Wilshire Place Court in the suburban estate zoning district and continued the matter to allow additional review.
City exhibits on file included an affidavit of publication (published Jan. 9, 2025), notice postings and a list of property owners within 300 feet. The application was filed by Jason Martinez of Oasis Schools on behalf of the listed property owner, Brianne Armino. The applicant and the owner attended the hearing and answered preliminary questions from the board; an alderman noted neighbor outreach and reported that nearby residents had indicated they were “great with it.”
Bill No. 25-04 was continued to the meeting of Monday, Feb. 10, 2025 for reading and consideration.
Why it matters: conditional-use permits determine whether accessory structures such as pavilions are allowed in this zoning district and can include conditions intended to limit impacts on surrounding neighbors.
