Council Member Luther nominated Ward 3 Council Member Gretchen Luke for chair and Council Member Suttell seconded; the council conducted a roll-call vote and recorded an 8–0 tally in favor. Later, Council Member Weshi nominated Ward 1 Council Member Bob Sottel for treasurer; that nomination also passed by roll-call vote, 8–0.
The votes were formal roll-call votes recorded by Crystal Hilton, who was serving as city clerk for the meeting. No other nominations were offered for either office during the meeting.
