Town and Country aldermen approve pavilion, setback changes and drainage contract; multiple items continued

At its Feb. 10 meeting the Town and Country Board of Aldermen unanimously approved three ordinances — a pavilion conditional-use permit, an amendment to setback encroachment rules and a drainage contract — approved a municipal purchase order and the warrant list, and continued several other agenda items to Feb. 24.
The Town and Country Board of Aldermen on Feb. 10 unanimously approved three ordinances, authorized a purchase order for a city truck and approved a warrant list while continuing multiple development- and facilities-related items to Feb. 24.
The board voted 7-0 to approve bill 25-04, an ordinance authorizing a conditional use permit for an accessory pavilion at 12001 Wiltshire Place Court; bill 25-05, an amendment to Title 4, Chapter 405 of the municipal code on permitted encroachments into building setbacks; and bill 25-06, accepting the bid and authorizing an agreement with 2 Alpha Contracting for the Summerhill Drainage Channel Stabilization Project, Phase 3. The board recorded unanimous roll-call votes on those three bills. The purchase order to Corwin Ford for a 2025 Ford F-350, $57,420, was approved by voice vote. The board also approved the warrant list totaling $292,330.60 by motion.
Several items were continued to the Feb. 24 meeting at the applicants' or staff request. Bill 25-07, an amended final site development plan for Principia at 13201 Clayton Road, was continued to Feb. 24 at the applicant’s request and the request was attached to the minutes. Bill 25-08 (municipal center carport rehabilitation project, bid award to KB Contracting and an amendment to the 2025 budget) and bill 25-10 (professional services agreements with Navigate Building Solutions for design and preconstruction services for public works and municipal center/firehouse projects) and bill 25-11 (professional services agreement with Wild Marketing and Media) were all continued to Feb. 24 for further reading and consideration. Bill 25-09, the conditional-use permit for a proposed chicken coop, was also continued to Feb. 24 for reading and consideration.

Formal roll-call votes were recorded for bills 25-04, 25-05 and 25-06 and for the continuance of bill 25-07. Other approvals (purchase order, warrant list) were by voice vote or motion, as noted.
A few items of note discussed during general remarks: the mayor thanked municipal staff member Katie Siriati for handling meeting livestream duties in the temporary absence of a colleague; Alderman Hughes announced an ARPA potential report meeting March 3; Alderman Murphy promoted the town’s annual Art & Wine event Feb. 28 at Longview Farmhouse. The meeting adjourned after routine business.
