The Board of Aldermen approved several ordinances and a professional services agreement at its April 28 meeting and continued or deferred other proposed code changes for later review.
The board unanimously approved Bill No. 25-17, an amended final site development plan for Kirk of the Hills Presbyterian Church at 12928 Ladue Road; the bill became Ordinance No. 4690 after the roll-call vote. The board also unanimously accepted the bid of MB West Contracting for the 2025 Clayton Road resurfacing project (Bill No. 25-20), from Municipal Center Drive to Mason Road; that measure became Ordinance No. 4691.
Separately, the board unanimously approved Bill No. 25-21, which repeals and replaces Ordinance No. 805 to update overtime compensation rules for city employees, with the mayor asking that the change not affect the 2025 city budget; that bill became Ordinance No. 4692.
The board authorized the city administrator to execute a professional services agreement with HR Green for engineering design services tied to the Carberry Place and Barn Bridal Road creek stabilization projects (Bill No. 25-23). The agreement is for $102,079.94.
The board adopted Resolution R06-2025, an amended investment policy for the city.
The board continued other matters: Bill No. 25-16 (conditional use/roof-mounted solar energy system at 1019 Polo Downs Drive) was continued indefinitely so the applicant can appear before the Architectural Review Board; Bill No. 25-18 (amendments to Title 6, Chapter 600 on alcoholic beverages) was continued to the May 12 meeting to allow additional review and legal consultation. Bill No. 25-22 (amended final site development plan for Manchester Meadows Shopping Center at 13867 Manchester Road) was read for consideration; the transcript does not record final action on that bill during this meeting.
