The Board of Aldermen of the City of Town and Country certified the results of the April 8 municipal election and administered oaths to the newly elected officials at its April 28 meeting.
The city clerk read the certified vote totals for the April 8 election, saying that Charles H. Reen Jr. received 729 votes for mayor; Ben Schware received 146 votes for alderman Ward 1; Al Gerber received 150 votes for alderman Ward 2; Joe Kinsella received 162 votes for alderman Ward 3; and Michael S. Sawyer received 244 votes for alderman Ward 4. The clerk said the results were certified and would be attached to the meeting minutes.
The board then administered the oath of office to the newly elected members. The presiding official led the oath, asking each newly elected official to affirm they possessed the qualifications prescribed by law and that they would support the constitutions of the United States and the State of Missouri and the ordinances of the City of Town and Country.
The clerk noted that the certified results will be appended to the meeting record.
The meeting proceeded with the mayor continuing to preside following the oath administration.
