The village authorized agreements with INF Associates for installation of ChargePoint Level 2 public electric vehicle chargers at two municipal locations: Village Hall (four dual‑port stations, eight ports total) at 938 King Street and Garibaldi Park municipal lot (two dual‑port stations, four ports total).
Administrator Chris told the board the Westchester County program and associated incentives, rebates and tax credits are expected to cover the infrastructure costs so there would be “no cost to the participating municipality.” The county is coordinating the program and INF Associates is the turnkey vendor working with municipalities under the county contract.
Chris noted the village will need to advance funds during installation and later seek reimbursement under the county program. Trustees asked about parking implications; staff clarified the charging spaces are public parking and not reserved exclusively for EVs when not in use by a charging vehicle. Trustees also discussed ongoing maintenance and warranty costs, which would fall to the village after installation; the board will later set user fees to help offset maintenance and warranty expenses once usage data are available.
The board authorized the mayor and administrator to sign agreements necessary to participate. The motion passed 4–0 (Epstein, Heiser, Krom, Klein yes; Morlino absent).
