Board adopts 2025–26 budget ordinance covering general town, general assistance and mental health funds

Riverside Township trustees adopted the budget ordinance for fiscal year 2025–26 after a public inspection period and a hearing with no attendees.
Trustee Carroll moved to adopt the budget ordinance covering the 12-month fiscal year beginning April 1, 2025, and ending March 31, 2026. Trustee Clark seconded the motion. In a roll-call vote Trustee Clark, Trustee Heilenbach, Trustee Carroll, Trustee DeCosta and Supervisor Wilt voted yes, and the ordinance was adopted.
The approved totals presented during the meeting were: general town funds $1,479,045; general assistance fund $216,910; and community mental health fund $982,749.88. The supervisor told trustees the ordinance had been open for inspection for more than 30 days and there were no amendments from the previous packet.
The board directed staff to sign the original ordinance documents and noted there had been no public objections at the scheduled hearing earlier in the evening.
