Students developed budgets, engaged community stakeholders, executed marketing, and led troubleshooting during the event. Staff said the project drew over 350 attendees and raised more than $1,100 for community causes. The presentation described the event as aligned with workforce-readiness competencies identified by the Virginia Department of Education.
A board member moved approval to submit the VSBA workforce readiness application; the motion passed by voice vote.
