Staff told the board the division's existing long-range plan is reaching completion and the district sought an outside firm to synthesize multiple prior studies and plans — including transportation studies, special education audit results, literacy and gifted plans, and career and technical education plans — into a single comprehensive document. District Management Group was selected from three vendors with cooperative procurement arrangements and cited by staff as having prior experience with school districts and earlier training work with the division.
Staff said District Management Group will analyze current data, engage stakeholders and community members, and return a draft plan to the board likely in late fall for board consideration and approval. A board member moved to award the contract; the motion passed by voice vote.
