Senayla Rodriguez described the façade application details: two roofing quotes at $35,000 each (American Metal Roofing and Sanchez Roofing), a contractor quote of about $122,000 for exterior repairs and trim, and a detailed Renewal by Andersen windows quote of approximately $154,582; combining major items produced an overall project estimate of roughly $180,000. Rodriguez recommended the board approve the maximum facade grant of $20,000. The board moved to award the grant; the motion was recorded as moved by “mister Lopez” and seconded by Anita Ramirez, and the vote was unanimous.
The board also considered a certificate of appropriateness for signage at 482 Bliss Street submitted by La Quinta (the board was told the sign uses the hotel’s standard logo). Staff recommended approval to allow the hotel to proceed toward opening; that application passed unanimously.
Finally, the board voted to adopt a refreshed Main Street logo that staff had posted to the program’s Facebook page; the motion passed unanimously.
