The program will repave roughly 12.6 miles of county roadway and includes ramp upgrades and traffic signal work as part of the contract.
Presenters noted some curb ramps require small easements from adjacent properties for reconstruction and that the county will coordinate easement acquisition where needed. For one shared‑service item noted earlier in the meeting, the county will install two rapid rectangular flashing beacons in Hillsborough as part of the paving project; Hillsborough will maintain those beacons after installation.
The resolution was approved by roll call at the Jan. 12 meeting. County staff said work will begin once the contract is executed and funding is certified.
