Dan Hardiman, chair of the Belmont‑Redwood Shores School District Parcel Tax Oversight Committee (PTOC), presented the committee's annual report to the board and said the review found parcel tax funds were used in accordance with the measure's mandates.
Hardiman told trustees the volunteer PTOC — composed of teachers, parents and community members — met three times during the year to review financial presentations by CBO Rhys Matsumoto and to confirm expenditures. "Based on our review and understanding, we did not find that parcel tax funds were spent outside of their mandated use," Hardiman said, adding the committee's meetings are open to the public and that he appreciated staff support.
Trustees thanked Hardiman and asked him to convey the board's gratitude to other committee members.
