The Belmont‑Redwood Shores School District Board of Trustees approved the district’s Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) for 2025–26 after hearing a staff presentation on goals, targeted supports and site‑level actions.
Assistant Superintendent presented the plan’s priorities — conditions of learning, school culture and climate, and community engagement — and described how the district aligned LCAP actions to data and stakeholder input. The presentation reiterated that any actions funded with supplemental and concentration dollars would be targeted by student need using dashboard and site‑level data.
Staff highlighted Redwood Shores Elementary, which was placed in Targeted Support and Improvement (TSI) for chronic absenteeism among Latino students, and listed site actions already approved by the school site council: individual family meetings for chronically absent students, regular attendance monitoring, and schoolwide celebrations to reward improved attendance. The assistant superintendent emphasized that family meetings will include parents and focus on identifying barriers and supports.
Trustees had no additional public speakers and approved the LCAP by unanimous voice vote. The district will implement the plan in 2025–26 and provide required updates to the county office of education and the state.
